Gandapur urges discussions with Kabul to brake terrorism

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur categorically said that his government would not authorize the military operation in the province. However, he stressed, any kind of misunderstanding or conflict should be resolved by negotiations.

Speaking during a Pakistani gathering Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) in Peshawar on Saturday, Gandapur said that the provincial administration was firmly cared for forced evictions in the name of reasons for the fight against terrorism. “We do not allow any operation, and we will not support it,” he said.

The chief minister reminded the federal authorities the heavy tolls, the past campaigns had taken in the region. “In the war against terrorism, thousands of our employees have been martyred. We do not want a war, we want peace. Neither Imran Khan nor the KP government will authorize any kind of operation,” he specifically mentioned.

He said the federal government and its agencies should realize that military operations only harm the people and produce no positive results. He insisted that the conflict, if there is one, should be resolved by negotiations. He also said that it was also the position of the founder of PTI, Imran Khan.

The chief minister of KP urged Islamabad to engage in a dialogue with Afghanistan to combat cross -border terrorism, stressing that only negotiations could provide lasting peace. “We don’t want a war and we are going to raise our voices against her,” he added.

Gandapur also called on the judiciary to maintain the Constitution and to do justice, in particular in the cases concerning the former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife. He reiterated PTI’s commitment to what he described as the struggle for “true freedom”, promising that the movement would continue until its objectives are achieved.

Protests Force Gandapur Outside stage

However, the rally went down to chaos after the party workers refused to listen to Gandapur’s speech and organized a demonstration inside the place.

A section of the participants began to sing slogans during the speech of the chief minister, disturbing the procedure. The demonstrators not only shouted against Gandapur, but also launched bottles to the stage, forcing him to cut his short speech.

After leaving the microphone, the PTI chief, Ali Muhammad Khan, tried to address the rally. However, Protestant workers also turned their slogans to him, brandishing shoes in the air and singing in challenge.

The situation has also deteriorated when the male workers broke into the women’s premises, the police unable to prevent the breach. The disorder has encouraged many participants to leave the place.

Gohar promises a continuous struggle for the release of Imran

Later, addressing the rally, the president of the PTI, lawyer Gohar, accused the government of electoral fraud and denounced it as a “puppet regime”.

Gohar said that the Peshawar party rally has been its eighth since February 8, but argued that these gatherings were not intended for a show of strength. “This does not mean that we are organizing an electric program,” he said, adding that the popularity of Imran Khan was unrivaled. “Not only in Pakistan, but the whole world acknowledges that Khan Sahib benefits from 90% popularity – 200 million Pakistanis go up and sit on its signal.”

Reflecting on recent setbacks, Gohar said that the party’s mandate had been “stolen” after the polls, aggravating “February injuries”. “Even then, we had the hope that an independent judicial power safeguard our mandate,” he said. However, he deplored that after the passage of the 26th amendment, “even this hope fell”.

He accused the authorities of having committed injustices against workers and supporters of the PTI. “Stop injustices, stop operations, stop these convictions and disqualifications,” he said, stressing that the voices of “70 to 90% of Pakistan” could not be reduced to silence.

Gohar has also reiterated Khan’s determination to continue to resist political pressure and legal obstacles. “We are going to fight for the country and for the law,” he said Khan. “I will not compromise, I did not conclude any agreement. As long as I live, I will live in this country … and I will not let my nation bow. ”

By concluding his speech, the president of the PTI promised that the struggle for the release of Khan would continue in all forums. “All the efforts will be made-in the streets, in the courts and in the assemblies,” he said and expressed his confidence “with your efforts, the liberation of Khan Sahib will be made possible, just like Bushra Bibi.”

The rally, organized in Peshawar, attracted supporters of the PTI of all over the country, according to the party’s social media accounts. The event was broadcast online after the television channels have refrained from broadcasting it live.

PTI chief, Faisal Javed, announced that Khan’s video messages would be broadcast during the rally. A clip of the PTI chief addressing a previous rally has been projected, while other party leaders used the opportunity to reaffirm their loyalty and their opposition to military operations.

Earlier, the police director of the capital of Peshawar, Mian Saeed Ahmad, had issued detailed security and traffic plans to ensure the smooth driving of the rally.
