Steve Zahn says working with the alter ego of Glen Powell on Powers of Chad Distracted it several times during shoots.
In the new Hulu sports comedy, Powell, 36, plays Russ Holliday, a former quarter in disgrace who disguises himself as Chad Powers to make a return of years later.
Using prostheses borrowed from his makeup father, Russ ends up appearing unrecognizable with a shaggy wig, false teeth and facial improvements.
During the premiere of the show on September 25 at Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Zahn – who plays the coach of the team in difficulty – he often “broke” the character when Powell appeared in full swing.
“I could barely keep things together. I broke a lot with him. Oh yeah, it’s ridiculous,” said Lotus White, 57 years old People magazine.
