The owner of the New York Mets team, Steve Cohen, addressed disappointed fans on Monday after the team suffered a terrible collapse and missed the playoffs.
The Miami Marlins brought the last piece of destiny to the food, beating them 4-0 in the final of the season on Sunday.

“Fans of the dishes everywhere,” wrote Cohen on X. “I owe you any parts. You have done your part by presenting yourself and supporting the team. We have not done our part. We will do a post-mortem and determine the obvious and less obvious reasons why the team did not succeed in you and my expectations.
“We all feel raw emotions today. I know how much time and efforts you have spent this team. The result has been unacceptable. Your emotions tell me how much you care and continue to motivate the organization to do better. Thank you to the best fans of sport.”
A few minutes after the defeat, the first goal player Pete Alonso said that he was going to withdraw from his agreement and test the free agency.
“There are great guys in this clubhouse, there are great people in staff,” he said. “And every day, it was a pleasure to come to work and put the orange and blue. I really appreciated and I was only full of gratitude every day. Nothing is guaranteed, but we will see what is happening.

The dishes took a hot start. New York was 45-24 years on June 12, one of the best MLB records at the time, and made only 38-55 the rest of the season to finish 83-79 after their last overwhelming defeat on Sunday evening.
New York has entered the 2025 season with the second largest total pay – more than $ 341 million – and the second largest active list on the pay list with $ 266.6 million, according to Spotrac. Juan Soto came to the New York Yankees Mets on a 15 -year agreement which would be worth $ 765 million. And while bats were hot to start the year, the team cooled when it was counting.
The dishes have undergone a sequence of eight consecutive defeats at the worst moment, starting with a series against the Reds and continuing through the matches of Philadelphia Phillies and Texas Rangers. The team rebounded against the Padres in San Diego, then dropped two of the three against the Washington Nationals.
The series against the Marlins was crucial, but New York could only withdraw only three games. New York had a 11-17 sheet in August and finished 10-15 in September.

The dishes will now start their off -season plans earlier than expected.
