- OPENAI is launching instant payment to make purchases in the chatppt
- In the United States, Etsy trolleys have one element are the first, Shopify arrives in second position
- Other merchants and regions will also obtain support soon
OPENAI has revealed a new instant payment function that allows users to buy directly from the Chatgpt interface.
Initially, launch only in the United States, the electronic commerce tool will be available for all types of personal chatgpt account, including free, more and pro users, but its real world application will be limited before taking any time.
For example, users of the day one can only make purchases to one element from Etsy, but big changes are on cards and instant payment could become much more powerful.
Chatgpt adds instant payment
Openai said Shopify will be supported “soon”, which includes millions of merchants using popular software. After that, the company is committed to supporting multi-element trolleys, adding more traders and including more regions.
In the announcement, Openai said that the results of the products are “organic and not disseminated, classified only on the relevance for the user”, in a minor excavation in traditional search engines like Google.
The company has also noted that instant payment products do not obtain a kind of favoritism in the results.
Openai earns her money by invoicing “a low -sum” to merchants for finished purchases. The system operates via the Agent Trade Protocol (ACP), co-developed with Stripe and now open source, with Stripe technology and the business president Will Gaybrick noting the emerging requirement to “re -chite today’s trade systems” for the AI era.
Users can choose to pay with the card they have in the folder or choose a new card payment / express option, with OpenAi saying that encrypted payment tokens are only allowed for specific amounts and traders so that they cannot be used.
“Chatgpt helps us meet buyers where they are,” concluded Etsy CPO / CTO Rafe Colburn.
The launch comes at the rear of a certain number of recent Openai updates, including its AI agent mode, which can navigate in the sites in the name of the user.
