- Amazon unveils a new 4K Fire TV streaming stick for $ 39.99
- It has also refreshed its range of television, including a new “ lighthouse ” Omni Qled
- Alexa + coming to several devices, with smarter vocal control
Amazon has just announced a series of new Fire televisions, plus a new Fire 4K TV stick cheaper, called Fire TV 4K Select.
Let’s start with the Fire TV 4K Select, which says that Amazon is “the fastest 4K stick in less than $ 40” – in particular, it costs $ 49.99. It looks a lot like the current sheet sticks, but there is something new inside: Vega OS.
This is Amazon’s new operating system for its sheet sticks and echo devices, and Amazon says it is “very reactive with a super effective imprint” and was essential to create a reactive and smooth streaming stick at this low price.
He will take care of Alexa + and Amazon has demonstrated how you can ask Alexa + the statistics of a baseball game, and he will not only tell you, but he can take you directly to the relevant climax.
Likewise, you can ask him for a special scene in a film and he can jump directly there – Amazon says he has indexed tens of thousands of scenes on thousands of films and will then work on television shows. You can also ask him for information on the actors of a scene or ask him for recommendations based on nuanced requests.
Amazon says that he has major streaming services on board for the new Vega operating system and highlighted the support of all the following elements during the event or in its press release (although there are omissions in particular, such as Mubi or Shudder):
- YouTube
- Main video (Duh)
- Peacock
- Fubo
- Flickering
- Directv
- Hulu
- Tube
- Espn
- Paramount +
- Plex
- Disney +
- Starz
- HBO Max
- Pluto
- Bbc
- Xbox
- Apple TV + (not mentioned on stage, but it’s in product images)
- Amazon Luna (not a surprise, but not mentioned on stage)
Amazon has also announced a range of refreshing televisions in three offers: Televisers Amazon Fire TV 2 cheaper, Step-Up Amazon Fire TV 4-series TVs and the Amazon Omni Qled series.
Amazon says that Omni TV is its “new flagship product”, which suggests that the impressive Amazon Fire TV Omni Mini-Led disappears from the programming.
All these televisions will present omnisesense tech from Amazon, which allows the TV to light up when you enter a room and you turn off when you leave it, and a new dialogue boost mode to facilitate understanding of what is going on.
The 2 series will be available in 32 inch and 40 inch sizes, which start from $ 159. These are HD models only (not 4K) and have a chipset which is 30% faster than before, to make them more reactive.
The 4 series will be available in 43 inch, 50 inch and 55 inch sizes, and will start from $ 329. These are all 4K models, and once again have the 30% faster chipset.
The new OMNI QLED TV is available in 50 -inch, 55 inch, 65 inch and 75 inch sizes from $ 479. It has a chip that is 40% faster for smoother operation, and promises to be 60% lighter than the previous model, with almost twice as many grades, for better contrast.
It includes Dolby Vision and the HDR10 +adaptive support, with automatic image adjustments based on ambient light levels. It is not mentioned to support the games at 120 Hz 4K, as does the Omni Mini-LED model.
The new Omni Qled model is also “built for Alexa +”, but there is no mention of the Alexa + support on the 2 series and the 4 series. Amazon also added that Alexa + also came to Hisense and Panasonic fire televisions.
You can pre -order new models today, and they will ship “next month”.
