- Outsystems’ Workbench agent helps companies and solo developers and manage agental AI systems
- The first adopters report the efficiency gains of the new workflows of AI agents
- The general version adds the market, the model’s context protocol and the wider LLM compatibility
Outsystems has announced the general availability of Agent Workbench, a new platform designed to help companies develop and manage agental AI systems.
The low -code development company has revealed the news of its annual ONE conference in Lisbon, an event that brings together computer leaders, developers and partners to explore the progress of software and AI.
Agent Workbench, which was unveiled for the first time in July, is intended to allow organizations to create and coordinate smart agents between different workflows and data sources.
Bring systems inherited in the future
Outsystems claims that if most companies experience AI based on agents, many are faced with challenges related to governance, security and integration.
“When applied strategically, the AI agent is one of the most powerful levers for innovation and transformation of companies, which allows organizations to stimulate value faster, to optimize workflows and put inheritance systems in the future,” said Woodson Martin, CEO of Outsystems.
“Agent Workbench provides companies with infrastructure to obtain unprecedented results with agency systems, while maintaining essential observability and control. Our participants in the early access program have already produced impressive gains with Agent Workbench, positioning them as industry leaders in agency future, “said Martin.
Among the companies that have already tested the platform, Thermo Fisher Scientific used it to build an climbing agent of the customer who reduces manual work resolution and accelerates, while the company ARC has automatically replaced the processes focused on spreadsheets by an agent who classifies the surveys.
In India, Grihum Housing Finance has deployed agents to rationalize the subscription of loans and property assessments, approach inconsistent manual workflows.
The general version includes new features such as an agent market and the management of the model context protocol, which connects agents to business systems and external tools.
It also widens compatibility to include a wide range of large -language models of main suppliers, including Openai, Anthropic, Google, IBM and others.
Outsystems, founded in Lisbon, focuses on businesses to create and quickly manage applications and, more recently, to apply AI in software development.
Agent Workbench is available in ODC and Outsystems Personal Edition (only in testing) and costs 20,000 euros; However, if you use Agent Workbench to launch an agent before the end of 2025, it will be free for the duration of an existing contact.
