The United Nations:
Pakistan called Israel to immediately arrest its regulation activity in the occupied West Bank which has been intensified in the last three months, saying that the project had violated the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council and would undermine the peace prospects of the Middle East.
“The regulation plan E-1 is a direct assault on the framework of two states, threatening to break Jerusalem-East of the Palestinian zones and to dismantle the contiguity of the West Bank,” warned Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, permanent representative of Pakistan on Monday.
“Such policies are not only unfair; they are illegal,” he said in a debate on the quarterly report of the UN Secretary General on the implementation of the Council 2334 resolution, which calls on Israel to immediately and completely cease all the activities of settlement in the occupied Palestinian territory.
