If we say anything about Punjab, Maryam Nawaz will be upset: the mayor of Karachi

The mayor of Karachi, Murtaza Wahab, said on Wednesday that even 200 billion rupees would be insufficient for the development of the city and underlined the need for federal support, while pointing out that any comment on the Punjab could upset the Minister -Chief Maryam Nawaz.

Speaking during the inauguration of a new cathemeral laboratory at the Karachi Institute for Heart Diseases, Wahab said that the installation had already carried out three operations since morning. He noted that the laboratory would facilitate the pressure on patients in the Federal B -region who previously had to go to the National Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases.

The mayor said that criticisms for herself had not resolved the problems, adding that Karachi’s problems required substantial financial resources. “If I do not ask for help from the Prime Minister of Karachi, then who should I?” He said, adding that an allowance of 20 billion rupees was inadequate.

He stressed that even 200 billion rupees would fail and that Karachi deserved his legitimate share. “If a company is created for the development of Karachi, there should not be an objection. I want my city to obtain its rights due,” said Wahab.

Commenting on Punjab, Wahab pointed out: “If I say something about Punjab, Maryam Bibi will be upset. It has spoken of water and canals problems, and the inhabitants of Punjab are in difficulty. It is our duty to relieve their problems. ”

Wahab has also sworn a strict action against corruption within Karachi Metropolitan Corporation institutions, declaring that public money belonged to citizens. He cited measures to improve health establishments as part of public-private partnerships, including free tests with new equipment at Spencer Eye Hospital, where 200 surgeries were carried out in two and a half months.

The mayor announced his intention to install new machines in hospitals and inaugurate a new block at the Abbasi Shaheed hospital later this month, despite political obstacles.

Azma stressed that the Punjab does not rely on foreign aid and asked why the pressure was created unnecessarily. She criticized the interference in provincial administrative issues, saying that it is not appropriate to politicize humanitarian issues.

She recalled that when the Sindh faced floods, the Punjab has abstained from political statements, but the PPP is now engaged in the score of rescue efforts in Punjab.

The Minister said that the coalition between the Pakistani-Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N) and the PPP offers stability and progress, but warned that competition should remain focused on rather than accused.
