Peshawar:
Four police officers were injured when an improvised explosive apparatus hit his vehicle near Qamar Din Chowk in the jurisdiction of the Bhanah Mari police station, Peshawar on Thursday.
According to Peshawar police chief, Dr. Saeed Ahmad, the police vehicle was routinely patrol when the explosion occurred. “The explosion took place suddenly, injuring four of our staff. They were immediately transferred to a neighboring hospital for medical treatment,” he said.
The first reports identified the injured officers like Asi Shah Faisal, the gendarme Sajjad, the Noorullah and the driver Zia. Police and security forces quickly reached the site following the explosion, closing the area to collect evidence.
The authorities launched an investigation to determine the authors of the attack and urges the public to remain vigilant.

In May, two police officers lost their lives and two others with one passerby by injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a police van at the Ring Road Malli, Peshawar.
The suicide bomber has targeted the police van of the police that patrols the Mandi shopping center. Following the explosion, two police officers, including sub-inspector Laiq Zada Khan and Constanle Alamzaib lost his life.
The rescuers immediately moved the bodies and the injured in the hospital. Police said the marked and injured officials were inside the mobile van when targeted.
The explosion caused serious damage to the vehicle and the echo of the explosion was heard in distant places, sending the shock waves in the surroundings.
