Week 4 of the NFL season experienced a number of endings, two of which ended the season.
Malik Nabers and Tyreek Hill both torn their ACLs, Trey Benson injured in the knee and Lamar Jackson refined an ischio-leg, to name a few.
More specifically, in the case of Nabers, this injury occurred on what has become a notorious grass surface at the Metlife Stadium, which also claimed the seasons of other players with serious injuries, including several tears of LCA and Achille.

The association of NFL players called for all areas of grass, but many stadiums have been slow to act.
However, the legendary receiver of the NFL, Larry Fitzgerald, who has never played less than 13 games in a season and played in each match of 13 of his 17 campaigns, does not think that the implementation of the grass at 30 stadiums from the NFL is even possible.
“I do not think it is possible in most places. I mean, the Metlife Stadium is probably used 100 days a year, and only 20 of them are intended for football matches. You organize concerts by Bruce Springsteen, rallys of monster trucks. I do not think that the grass would not do well in this environment,” Recent interview.

Fitzgerald also noted that sometimes the nature of football leads to injuries, whatever the surface, said the long -standing wide receiver.
“I was in the match of the 49ers-cardinal, and I saw James Conner break my ankle on the grass. I saw Nick Bosa blow his ACL on the grass. When you have 300 pounds, people will come up against at full speed, they are strong and physical guys. If they played in bubble packaging, the guys would injure themselves.”
Hill’s injury occurred on the grass, but it’s easy to say that the nature of the tackle has led to its injury. Bosa also torn his ACL at the Metlife stadium.
It should be noted that Fitzgerald played his home games at the State Farm Stadium with the Arizona Cardinals, who has retractable grass. And yet, this is also where Benson underwent an injury that required surgery.
The lawn, however, was generally more subject to injuries to soft tissue, as the NFLPA quoted.

Half of the league stadiums use the lawn, despite the executive director of the NFLPA, Lloyd Howell, saying that 92% of the league players prefer grass.
