- Quixant Iqon3 Mini PC Security The features include TPM 2.0, AES256 and Nvram protected
- The robust chassis makes silent cooling viable in crowded casino environments
- Double PCIe Gigabit Ethernet provides stable connectivity for cabinet networks
Quixant introduced its latest addition to the IQON range, a silent mini PC designed for game cupboards in casinos and retro arcade environments.
The company claims that the iqon3 arrives in a robust chassis and cooled by passively finished in the separate orange color of the company and is powered by AMD Ryzen Pro 8000 APUS.
With a configuration that mixes modern interfaces and inherited connections, this device offers flexible equipment for operators looking for a workstation adapted to game applications.
Material foundation and CPU choice
The AMD Ryzen Pro 8000 APU in this device incorporates CPU and Radeon 7x0m graphics in a single package.
This approach allows the unit to drive up to four ultra HD 4K screens while taking charge of DisplayPort 1.4 and material video decoding.
The management of memory extends to 64 GB through two SO-DIMM DDR5-5600 sockets, which placed it closer to the specifications at the workstation rather than entry-level equipment.
The system offers a large set of storage options, including a NVME M.2 PCIe 4.0 location, two CFAST 2.0 sockets and two SATA3 locations.
Quich also offers an optional EEPROM storage up to 128 ko for users requiring integrated configuration or safety settings.
One of the most striking aspects of the mini PC IQON3 is its port coverage.
Its external options include four USB 3.2 ports on the front and four USB 2.0 ports on the side, supplemented by internal headers for a new expansion.
For networking, the unit supports Ethernet Dual Pcie Gigabit interfaces and six configurable ports supporting SAS, JCM, RS485 and RS232.
This device also supports SPI and I2C headers and Ibutton interfaces for secure authentication, data journalization and peripheral expansion.
Beyond the performance, the iQon3 integrates TPM 2.0, unique digital serial number identifiers, NVRAM NVRAM protected and AES256 encryption.
Physical protections, such as a metal case with a Keylock and surveillance systems for writing protection changes, strengthen its positioning for controlled environments.
For audio, it includes a standard HD 7.1 controller with stereo outputs amplified at 15 W per channel, enough to serve cabinets without additional equipment.
