After the list of recommendations for last week’s television program, it’s time to highlight a whole series of new films that landed on the best streaming services in the world.
Indeed, in an inversion of role of our previous article “What to Watch this weekend”, we chose five apparently formidable films which deserve to be verified before Monday takes place. Monster: The Ed Gein Story (Netflix)

Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan are back with a third episode in their series of frightening Netflix anthology. They have already covered Jeffrey Dahmer and Lyle and Erik Menendez, and now the projector is on Ed Gein.
For those who do not know, Gein was a condemned serial killer who served as inspiration for titles like The silence of the lambsAlias one of the best horror films, and this show dramatizes some of the horrible crimes he has committed.

While Mark Wahlberg headlining a new action comedy may not be the biggest reason to broadcast Play dirty Shane Black’s involvement could change her mind. The director is at the origin of some of the best comedies in High Octane, as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang And Nice guysSo his name alone should promise a funny Friday evening watch.
Unfortunately, even the signing mixture of black crime and Christmas seems to be enough to save the main video film, the first criticisms proving the division. You are thinking of Glen Powell and you are probably thinking of a chiseled action hero who makes incredibly clever decisions in the industry (go, man is everywhere). Thanks to Powers of ChadYou are now thinking about a football hasteen who disguises himself to play at high school.
Completely normal decisions are made here but, retroactively, it is a good look for Powell. He is one of the executive producers of the sports comedy and the main star of his show, and that only puts it in place as an A-Lister that follows the traces of Tom Cruise.
In addition, the Hulu and Disney + Show is the success of the stupid pleasure we need, and it is so well balanced that a second season already seems to be a shoo-in. Powell’s performance is also perfect. – Jasmine Valentine, entertainment journalist
Steve (Netflix)

Based on Max’s novel to wear in 2023 “ Shy ”, one of the new films of Netflix in October puts Cillian Murphy at the front and in the center of a potentially heartbreaking drama which will make a sensitive string with certain viewers.
Steve sees Murphy representing the titular character, who is the head of the head and the only tutor remaining from a dilapidated school for boys with societal and behavioral problems. Jay Lycurgo (Titans), who plays shy, is one of the students that Steve is trying to embody while the struck educational institution is fighting to stay open in the midst of a growing disastrous financial situation.
Steve Will not be for everyone but, thanks to the imposing performance of Murphy and its topical subject, it will certainly be one of the favorite Netflix films of the many people of 2025. – TP

To direct my recommendations for 8 new horror films to be broadcast in October 2025 is Bring it backThe second horror film of the Philippou brothers which is doing its streaming debut on HBO Max this weekend.
Bring it back Follows two brothers-in-law who find themselves orphans and placed in the middle of a ritual occult by their new adoptive mother, played by Sally Hawkins. Based on his 89% rotten critical score of 89% tomatoes, it is worth checking. – Kg

The second Big Action filmmaker this week with a new outing with high issues is Paul Greengrass, better known for The Bourne franchise. Like his previous dramas of real United 93 And Captain PhillipsThis film is a real event that has been transformed into a captivating scenario for Apple TV +.

I’m going to need you to ignore all the criticisms and broadcast Darling, no! On Peacock in your earlier convenience. Reason number one: Margaret Qualley. Reason number two: Aubrey Plaza. Reason number three: They play romantic interests from each other. (Reason number four is the former of Marvel, Chris Evans, who plays another viscous character in this Ethan Coen vehicle!).
It is a torsion on the style of Vieilleur de Baccalaureate that we have known and questioned with doubt on the screen, and it is an entirely intense feminine representation. At just 90 minutes, we have a lot of packaged sub -intrigues and visually striking those to that. Coen Brothers fans should go up this one. – Jv
