Prince William apparently issued a strong warning in the last video declaration, published by the Palais to announce a major development.
The palace published the video of Prince William saying: “We could not be more proud to present the finalists of the Earthshot 2025 Prize.”
In the video, warns Prince William, “I sat under this oak tree five years ago, shortly after launching the Earthshot price. The planet, the only house we have, needed our aid, because scientists clearly indicated that we had to make significant changes by 2030.”
“At the time, a decade was felt for a long time. George was seven years old, Charlotte Five and Louis Two; their thoughts in 2030 felt a life,” said Prince William and adds: “But today, while we are back halfway this critical decade, 2030 feels very real.”
The future king continued: “The Earthshot Prize was founded because this decade is important.”
The Prince of Wales also warned “2030 is a threshold by which future generations will judge us; this is the moment when our actions, or their absence, will have forever shaped the trajectory of our planet”.
Commenting on the post, the royal photographer Matt Porteous reacted: “Incredibly inspiring, sir, your voice and the work you do with the most inspiring people on earth changes the game.”
