Oklahoma Sooners receiver Keontez Lewis left the victory of team 44-0 against Kent State gold flashes early after suffering a frightening injury during a capture attempt.
Lewis tried to follow a quarter-back ball Michael Hawkins Jr. who was thrown above his head at the first quarter. He ended up at the back of the goal area when he caught it but fell and crashed the first in the brick wall that bordered the goal area of the Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma.

Lewis was motionless on the ground for several seconds before the team training staff took care of him. He was attached on a stretcher and hunted the ground.
“It was just a sincere thing,” said the defensive defender of Sooners R Mason Thomas. “He is my teammate, my brother, and he suffers. I hope he is fine. We must certainly send him messages, be in the hospital. I hope he is fine.”
Lewis was sent offside for additional tests and the prospects were “promising,” said sports medicine.

“What scary for him,” said Oklahoma coach Brent Venables after the match. “I hope it will go well in the long term here.”
Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables said he was thinking that more padding would come to the brick barrier on the ground.
“We assess all the options with regard to the safety of our players,” he said.
