The Pakistani peoples party organized debraying from the Senate and the National Assembly, demanding apologies from the management of the Pakistani Muslim League on what it described as “disparaging remarks” against its highest figures.
During the Senate session on Monday, the Sherry Rehman PPP Senator said that the country was facing devastating floods, affecting millions through Sindh and Punjab.
“Instead of strengthening people in this difficult period, we weaken them by political rhetoric,” she said. “The war of words between the governments of Punjab and Sindh harms the federal coalition.”
Rehman criticized what she called “the use of the Punjab card”, saying that the red line was crossed. “Make inappropriate comments on Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asefa Bhutto is unacceptable,” she added.
“Even Punjab has a representation of the PPP. Bilawal simply suggested using Benazir’s income support support program to help flood victims. Government alliances cannot survive on the basis of humiliation. Excuses do not decrease the dignity of whoever anyone. “
She added that the PPP had always pleaded for climate justice, noting that southern Punjab had been devastated by destroyed floods and cultures. “I’m even ashamed to repeat the words that have been used,” she said. “If apologies are not presented to our leadership, we must not be taken for granted.”
After his remarks, the PPP senators torn copies of the agenda and came out of the session.
Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar expressed his regrets because of the situation, saying: “If someone’s words caused harm, I am sorry as a political worker. President Zardari is a senior statesman and will play a role of conciliation. The opposition should not rejoice; We will try to bring our friends back. ”
The president of the acting Senate managed the Senators Khalil Tahir Sindhu, Afnanullah Khan and Anusha Rahman to persuade the members of the PPP to return to the Chamber.
Shipping at the National Assembly
In the National Assembly, the session presided over by speaker Ayaz Sadiq also saw the PPP organize a ranging.
The PPP chief, Raja Perviz Ashraf, sought to speak on an order point, but the speaker initially resisted, citing predefined rules unless such interventions during questions. However, on the insistence of the treasury and opposition benches, Ashraf was authorized to speak.
“We are not here to weaken Pakistan,” said Ashraf. “We are those who sing the slogan of” the life of Pakistan “. We do not believe in provincial prejudices. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did not speak about the Punjab government – irresponsible statements come in place of the ruling party.
The PPP then boycotted the procedure and released, also highlighting a lack of quorum. When the room met, the vice-president ordered a workforce, but with the still incomplete quorum, the session was adjourned until Thursday at 11 a.m.
Zardari Convocation of the Minister of the Interior
President Asif Ali Zardari summoned the Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi to Karachi for urgent consultations in the midst of increasing tensions between the governments of Sindh and Punjab for flood rescue operations. The president called NAQVI and discussed the climbing of the fault between the two provincial administrations.
The dispute appeared after disagreement on the aid distribution mechanism for families affected by the floods. The Sindh government, led by the PPP, insisted that the emergency funds are paid to the Benazir income support program. However, the Punjab government, managed by the PML-N, rejected this proposal, preferring to manage the emergency services independently.
The two parties have since exchanged net declarations, with ministers from Sindh and Punjab with consecutive press conferences to defend their positions. The president’s intervention is considered an attempt to facilitate tensions within the power coalition and to ensure coordinated efforts for the rehabilitation of floods in the provinces.

One day ago, the Higher Minister of Sindh, Sharjeel Inam Memon, and the Minister of Information of Punjab, Azma Bokhari, exchanged a new cycle of accusations, intensifying more the war of words in progress between the two parties.
Memon accused the government of Punjab of having carried out a campaign against the PPP. He said that, although the PUNJAB government targets PPP for critic, the real target is the federal government.
“Everything that has happened in the past few days, Punjab is indirectly targeting the PPP, but the real target is the federal government. They have internal problems with the Prime Minister or the Center, they therefore use the PPP as coverage to solve these problems. In this way, they try to create an environment to discourage our support for the federal government,” said Sharjeel at a press conference on Sunday.
He said: “We are not part of the government, but we support it on an approach based on questions. We will not allow the Punjab conspiracy against the federal government to succeed.”
Sharjeel accused Punjab of being jealous of successful federal initiatives. “When the Prime Minister visits the Sindh or Balutchistan, the provincial ministers welcome him, while in Punjab, a reception nor a protocol is provided to him,” said the Higher Minister.
In response, Bokhari accused the PPP of undermining the federal government while trying to politicize the efforts to rescue floods.
“Even being Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bilawal Bhutto, with his party, has dug the roots of the federal government and the Prime Minister,” she said. “Those whose own house suffers from internal discord now make frivolous remarks on ours to cover their own errors and gaps.”
She added: “Do not hide behind a proxy. Your story of dirty policy on the victims of the punjab floods failed. Now you bring a story against the Prime Minister. ”
