Jena Sims, a swimsuit model and wife of Liv golf star, Brooks Koepka, revealed on Monday that she had undergone a miscarriage.

Sims revealed the heartbreaking news in an article on Instagram. She shared a photo gallery from her last pregnancy.

“At 16 weeks, we learned that the heart of our baby had stopped beating. It is a sorrow that no parent is never prepared. We are devastated, but we respect one day of the crew,” she wrote in the legend of the post.

“Too often, these difficulties occur in silence. There is still so much work and research necessary to better understand and support the reproductive health of women. If you live or have suffered a loss of pregnancy or infertility, know that you are not alone.”

Sims sympathized with health professionals who have to announce this kind of news to their patients.

Sims and Koepka married in June 2022. The two welcomed their first child in July 2023.

Sims is a former candidate for the Miss Teen USA beauty contest. She represented Georgia in the 2007 competition. Since then, she has been seen in several films and appeared in The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
