Taking advantage of the widening of the fault within the ruling coalition, Pakistan Tehreek-E-insuvi invited the Pakistani peoples party to join the hand to deposit a motion without confidence against the government.
During a session of the National Assembly on Monday, the former speaker and head of the PTI, Asad Qaiser, urged the PPP to stop engaging in “friendly fire” and to make a daring political stage.
“The PPP should be courageous and move a motion without confidence against the government instead of playing a simulated political game,” said Qaiser while reacting to the war of the ongoing words between the PPP and the Pakistani-Nawaz Muslim League.
The PPP has not yet responded to the PTI offer.

Meanwhile, senator’s lawyer Ali Zafar of PTI criticized both the PPP and the PML-N for what he described as political theaters in the midst of a national crisis during a session of the Senate on Monday.
He said the two partners in the ruling coalition seemed to be in a competition – not to help the victims of the floods – but to outdo himself in press conferences and photos. “Help has not reached the victims; maybe she has reached their own pockets,” he said.
Zafar accused both parties of long-standing bodybuilding, declaring: “The PPP and the PML-N have reigned the most this country, but they shamelessly compete on which the nation has less deceived.”
He deplored that while the people were agony, families affected by the floods continued to suffer without relief. “The children of the victims of the floods always sleep hungry under the open sky,” he said.
Despite the suffering, he added, the two parties insisted on being awarded for their performance. “In the name of PTI, I grant them a trophy for insensitivity, incompetence and greed,” he joked.
Citing the extent of devastation in Punjab, the senator revealed that 5,700 villages remain overwhelmed, that the cultures have been destroyed and that the cattle perished. “Farmers live in uncertainty while 18 million people are seriously affected,” he said, adding that 22,000 square kilometers of land had been affected.
He also noted that 60% of the rice harvest and 30% of the cotton harvest had been destroyed, forcing the country to import for almost $ 3 billion in goods to meet demand. “Look at the situation-and yet these leaders leave the house in arrogance,” he concluded.
PML-N, PPP meets to repair Rift
The PML-N contacted the PPP in order to defuse the tensions after the protest and the upgrading of the latter in the Senate and the National Assembly earlier in the day.
A meeting at the delegation between the two parties began in the speaker’s room in Parliament. The PPP delegation was led by former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and the senior party leader Ejaz Jakhrani, while vice-president Ghumlam Mustafa Shah was also present.
Representing the PML-N was the president of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah and Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry. Sources have said that the PML-N team would inform the PPP of the latest developments and try to treat the grievances raised by the party.
Addressing journalists before the meeting, Ashraf confirmed that the PML-N had contributed to talks. “Yes, the PML-N has contacted us and we are now heading for the meeting,” he said.
