iOS 26.1 should make sleep more difficult thanks to your alarms

  • The second beta version of iOS 26.1 is now available
  • It includes a redesigned alarm screen which requires a shift to deactivate alarms
  • Other changes include personalized training and a rocking to automatically download safety improvements.

Mail an alarm is never fun, and with the iOS 26.1 update, it seems that Apple will reduce the chances that you make it.

The second beta version of iOS 26.1 is now available and MacRumors has discovered that, among other things, it changes the design of the alarm screen, so that instead of simply pressing a button to deactivate the alarm, you must drag your finger on the screen.

This is a change that should mean that you must be more awake to deactivate the alarm, and it also means that you will not accidentally turn it off if you just wanted to repeat it (the action for which was and remains a simple click).

This same sliding design to the stop is also used by timer in iOS 26.1 beta 2-it is probably less necessary there, but could always be useful and maintains the coherent interface.
