Taylor Swift has just revealed that his song Paternal figure was inspired by the series, Succession.
During an appearance in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the winner 14 times Grammy discussed several of her songs from her latest album, The Life of A Showgirl.
The 35 -year -old Megastar said that the fourth piece of the album, “Father Figure”, had influence of the succession and the relationship between the ruthless and fictitious patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) and his children.
“It’s like, protected, and the relationship between the two, right?” Swift explained, adding: “And the dynamics of power and the idea that power could return and that someone could betray someone – it’s so fun to write.”
“And this is written from the point of view of the mentor to the protégé,” she also mentioned, while it was inspired by pop culture, which is a scene that belongs to the fourth season of succession.
“I continued to think of this scene successively when Logan looks at his children and said:” I love you but you are not serious people. “And I constantly think of this scene.
The lover’s crooner said that she wanted to write a song that “has this energy” by Logan saying to her children “you have bitten your hand that fed you.” “You don’t have the vernacular to do so,” she added.
