Prince Albert of Monaco leads Monegasque explorations in the Aegean Sea

Prince Albert of Monaco has just shared a video on his official social media account, showing the Monegasque explorations currently taking place in the Aegean Sea.

The “Mission Greece of Monaco Explorations” showed the prince in meetings and spoke about the exploration itself.

The caption offers more detailed information and specifies: “as part of the current Monaco Explorations mission in Greece, the HAS Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the Sporades archipelago in the Aegean Sea this Thursday, October 9.”

This meeting was for his meeting with members of the conservation of the Alonissos Marine National Park – Northern Sporades, a “high place of Mediterranean biodiversity”.

“The Sovereign Prince boarded a NECCA ship to reach the island of Skopelos, where he explored, in the water, the famous caves sheltering the Mediterranean monk seal, an emblematic and endangered species”, also states the legend.

Without forgetting that “the Principality of Monaco and the Prince Albert II Foundation, through the Monk Seal Alliance consortium, have been working for many years for the conservation of this species, by promoting research programs, scientific cooperation and the protection of marine habitats throughout the Mediterranean basin”.

It ended with the words: “this intimate relationship with the marine environment is essential to understand it and better protect it.”
