Rs15b allocated to the training of young people under the NAVTTC

ISLAMABAD:

Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Vocational Training, Farah Naz Akbar, informed the National Assembly that the ministry, through the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), was focusing on ten key sectors.

She said that 15 billion rupees had been allocated for the three-year project, of which 10 billion rupees had already been used. She highlighted the need to further increase Pakistan’s budgetary allocations for education and health relative to GDP, noting that better investment in these sectors would directly improve the Human Capital Index (HCI) and long-term economic growth.
