At New York Comic Con, Marvel makes a series of sensational announcements. One of them is the renewal of X-Men ’97 for the third season.
The studio didn’t stop with this announcement; he also showed the trailer to attendees of the festival, which saw the return of many characters, including Apocalypse, an evil mutant.
Without forgetting that season two of the series, highly anticipated, is announced for 2026 on Disney+.
X-Men ’97which debuted in March 2024, received positive reviews as it continued the story of the hit 1990s series, X-Men: The Animated Series.
As part of Marvel news, James Gunn, the co-head of DC, recently made a statement. During a virtual press conference, he shared that in his mind he entertained the idea of having dead Pool in a cameo in the second season of Peacemaker.
“Yeah, I wanted them to open the door and see Deadpool in a room,” he said, wanting to have a historical crossover between Marvel and DC.
The director even had a conversation with Ryan Reynolds, who plays Merc with a Mouth. “And I talked to Ryan Reynolds about it.”
However, complex legal obstacles hamper his thinking. “But I think we would have had to overcome some really big hurdles to get there! He wanted to do it.”
Peacemaker season two, meanwhile, is broadcast on HBO Max.
