- Another three-pronged Samsung Galaxy rumor emerges
- The phone “could” now be sold in international markets
- We could see an official launch in the coming weeks
Good news if you were hoping to get your hands on Samsung’s highly anticipated trifold foldable phone: the latest rumor about the device that was first revealed in January is that it could be available globally, like many of Samsung’s best phones before it.
This comes from sources in contact with SamMobile and contradicts previous rumors that this handset would be limited to South Korea and China – similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition rollout last year.
However, we shouldn’t get too excited about the news just yet: SamMobile says the phone will go on sale in the UAE, as well as China and South Korea, and that other countries (including the US and UK) “may” see a launch.
So it seems there’s still some uncertainty over how many markets this tri-part will be available in – perhaps even within Samsung. An official reveal should take place in the coming weeks.
A long time coming
Samsung showed off the triple at its Unpacked event for Galaxy S25 phones in January, and Samsung has repeatedly said the foldable will break coverage sometime in 2025 – of which we’re quickly reaching the latter stages.
While there hasn’t been much else officially said, rumors point to the phone being powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, and there’s also been talk of 16GB of RAM and a titanium frame in recent months.
The hinges and speakers could be borrowed from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, according to leaks, while there have also been hints of a 10-inch main display and rather disappointing charging specs.
All signs point to a premium phone with a hefty price tag, and while this doesn’t really confirm that we’re going to get a full global launch for the triple, it’s at least more encouraging than previous rumors of limited availability.
