Jelly Roll won three Dove Awards at the Christian Music Awards, including Song of the Year for its collaboration with Brandon Lake, Hallelujah hard fought.
The country artist has spoken out about his Christian faith in recent years and believes it saved him from self-destruction.
“The world is hearing about Jesus in ways it hasn’t heard in decades,” he told the crowd during his acceptance speech.
He continued: “There is a revival in the United States of America, where you cannot stand in a corner and not hear about Jesus right now. »

Christian singer Forrest Frank won the Dove Awards’ highest honor that night, Entertainer of the Year, but was not present at the ceremony.
Frank previously uploaded a video to his social media in which he stated that he would not attend any award shows, including the Christian Music Awards, because he did not want industry recognition for music that expressed his faith.
“I love that you said, ‘I don’t want to get a trophy for something that comes from Jesus for Jesus,’ which is awesome,” Jelly noted on social media at the time, “But also to make millions of dollars doing the same thing that comes from Jesus for Jesus.”
