King Charles reportedly finds himself in a difficult position after a recently discovered email between Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein raised new concerns over the Duke’s past statements.
The newly discovered email was sent shortly after the publication of a photo of Andrew with Virginia Giuffre, suggesting that he was still in contact with Epstein at one point, although he claimed their ties had ended.
Speaking on the matter, royal commentator Ingrid Seward said the post painted a disturbing picture of Andrew’s involvement with Epstein.
She said Popular channel that the situation reflects badly on the Duke of York and the royal family, putting King Charles in a difficult situation.
“It’s very damning. And it looks like he was totally in cahoots with Epstein. And unfortunately for him and for the royal family, I don’t think this is the end, I think.
“There’s still a lot to say. That’s the problem. It’s an ongoing situation.”
The expert further noted that the email “sounds just terrible for the Yorks,” adding that it puts pressure on Charles because “everyone is asking” what he’s going to do.
“Now I think his hands are tied because – this is just my opinion – I don’t know, but his mother obviously wanted Charles to take care of Andrew,” she continued.
“The Queen knew he had a lot of problems and she had to entrust his care to his older brother.
“Because otherwise, I can’t imagine Charles wouldn’t have felt compelled to get Andrew out of there.
“But I think it is linked between his mother’s wishes and his position as king and head of state.”
