Shehbaz meets world leaders in Egypt

SHARM EL-SHEIKH:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with numerous world leaders on Monday at the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit, where the signing of a historic peace deal ended months of conflict in Gaza.

The summit, co-chaired by US President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, brought together leaders from more than twenty countries in a rare show of unity for regional stability.

The Prime Minister was received by President El-Sissi upon his arrival at the Convention Center, where he joined world leaders to witness the official signing of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Later, in a high-profile speech at the ceremony, President Trump specially thanked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and “my favorite Field Marshal Asim Munir” for their “outstanding contributions” to the peace process.

Trump’s remarks were followed by a standing ovation when he invited Prime Minister Shehbaz to the podium to deliver a special speech.

On stage, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised Trump and El-Sisi for their tireless diplomatic efforts. He once again nominated the American president for the Nobel Peace Prize “for his exceptional and extraordinary contribution to ending the Pakistan-India war and seven other conflicts around the world.”

“Today is one of the greatest days in contemporary history because peace has been achieved through the tireless efforts of President Trump, who is truly a man of peace. [and] who worked tirelessly and tirelessly throughout these months, day in and day out, to make this world a place to live in peace and prosperity. »

“I would say that Pakistan nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his outstanding and extraordinary contribution, first in ending the war between India and Pakistan and then in achieving a ceasefire with his very wonderful team. And today again, I would like to nominate this great president for the Nobel Peace Prize.”
