John Cena’s wrestling career will end in two months, with his final bout taking place on December 13 at Saturday Night Main Event in Washington, DC.
The 17-time world champion has four dates left in his career, but the only thing that remains unknown is who Cena will fight to end his career.
Cena posted a cryptic Instagram post Tuesday morning, featuring a photo of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning shaking hands — Cena offered no caption.

Fans immediately wondered if Cena was telling his fans who his final opponent would be without saying it, with many thinking it might be Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Johnson and Cena, like Brady and Manning, are widely considered among the all-time greats in their respective careers who dominated the ring together.
Johnson hasn’t attended a WWE event since Cena turned heel in February in an apparent collaboration with The Rock, but Cena returned to babyface before “SummerSlam.”

The ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ booed heavily at WWE’s crown jewel in Australia
Others, however, believe the message was code for Edge, who was arguably Cena’s greatest rival throughout his illustrious career.
Others thought he was actually paying homage to his match against AJ Styles last weekend in Australia, where both men paid tribute to many former wrestlers with their iconic finishers.
The Rock is on the TKO board and Travis and Jason Kelce were asked in “New Heights” who Cena’s final opponent should be. Rock took a brief pause and a few laughs before divulging.
“I have a tiny bit of influence in the booking, but it’s really who John wants. That’s what it all comes down to. It’s not me, it’s not Nick Kan, it’s not Triple H, it’s who John wants,” he said. This guy deserved it.”
The clock went back several times this year during Cena’s farewell tour, as he also had bouts with Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar.

Cena will appear on “Monday Night Raw” on November 10 in Boston (near his hometown of West Newbury, Massachusetts) and on November 17 before going to “Survivor Series” in San Diego on November 29 and then wrapping things up two weeks later.
