Only 229 candidates pass the exam

19 of the top 20 qualifiers opted for the Pakistan Administrative Service, while one chose the Pakistan Police Service.

The Federal Civil Service Commission has announced the results of the Central Senior Services Examination 2024, revealing a very low pass rate of just 2.48 percent.

A total of 15,602 candidates appeared for the highly competitive competition, out of which only 229 candidates managed to pass, including 119 men and 110 women.

The results showed that 397 candidates initially passed the written examination, but only 229 were declared successful after the interview/interview. Their appointments are subject to their medical fitness.

Among the candidates who passed the written examination, 269 were from Punjab, 33 from Sindh (rural), 19 from Sindh (urban), 31 from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 22 from Balochistan and two from Gilgit-Baltistan, while no candidate from Azad Jammu and Kashmir made it to the final list.

The top three positions were secured by Muhammad Shafay Ijaz, who bagged the first position, Sana Rasool finished second and Momina Azhar secured the third position.

Reports further indicate that 19 out of the top 20 candidates opted for the Pakistan Administrative Service, while only one candidate chose the Pakistan Police Service. Notably, none of the top 30 candidates selected Pakistan Foreign Service this year.
