Security sources foiled a suicide attack on a camp in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali district, killing at least four terrorists, state television reported. PTV Friday.
An activist drove a vehicle loaded with explosives into the perimeter wall of a security forces camp. Three other people attempted to storm the compound on foot and were shot dead outside the camp in what security officials described as a “swift and decisive” response by troops.
Separately, security forces killed 34 militants described as “Indian-backed terrorists” during several operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past three days, army media said in a statement on Thursday.

Fitna al-Khawarij is the state-imposed term for terrorists associated with the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) since the May 2025 war with India.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intelligence-led operations were carried out in North Waziristan, South Waziristan and Bannu districts.

These operations are part of Pakistan’s ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the ‘Azm-e-Istehkam’ vision, aimed at eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Operation Azm-e-Istehkam aims to eradicate terrorism and extremism, by coordinating the efforts of the armed forces and law enforcement agencies while addressing public concerns to curb extremist tendencies.
