NYT Strands today (game #594) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #594, are…
- DETOUR
- CLOSING
- ALARM
- WEATHER REPORT
- CONSTRUCTION
- SPANGRAM: LATE
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: 1 clue
After getting the keywords DETOUR and CLOSURE, I had trouble understanding the theme – so I started finding random words that aren’t related to the game (there were some good ones today) and using a clue.
The clue gave me a wake-up call and only then did I realize that we were looking for reasons/excuses why we might be late for work.
DETOUR covers a lot of ground in this list and covers most of my late moments – the others are cats, rain and lactose intolerance.

- DO CABRIOLES
- GALUMPH
- SCUTTLE
