NYT Strands today (game #599) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #599, are…
- AZALEA
- HEMLOCK
- FOXGLOVE
- BELLADONNA
- LAMORISIER
- SPANGRAM: TOXIC
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: 1 clue
I think this is the longest I’ve ever spent completing a Strands game – especially one where I used a hint.
After typing in a few non-gaming words, I spotted the spangram first, quickly followed by AZALEA, the letter Z hanging helpfully in the bottom left corner.
The clue gave me HEMLOCK and I progressed slowly from there. OLEANDER was my last word, a word I would never have understood if the letters had been joined in a less easy way.
Luckily this happened even though I didn’t know what I was looking for. Such ignorance is also the reason one falls prey to TOXIC plants, so I will treat this game as an education.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Wednesday October 22, Match #598)
- BATTERY
- COIN
- PENCIL
- LACE
- THUMBTACK
- ADHESIVE TAPE
- SPANGRAM: WASTE DRAWER
