George Clooney makes shocking confession about Hollywood

George Clooney reveals that stars are ‘not allowed to age’

George Clooney has just revealed that Hollywood stars are “not allowed to age”.

The 64-year-old actor plays fictional big screen icon Jay Kelly in the upcoming Netflix film of the same name, and he reflected on the relationship between moviegoers and the stars they watch growing up.

He said Empire magazine: “You really live your life through actors and images of people. »

“And you’re not allowed to grow old. I have people coming [up to] I always say, “You’re a lot older than I thought.” Like, fuck you! I’m 64!” he added hilariously.

Clooney also recalled a scene from the film where his character watches his life on screen, and the clips are all taken from the actor’s other real-life roles over the years.

He said: “There’s a strange thing: the older you get, the more you look at this stuff and think, ‘Wow, that was a long time ago.’ In my eyes, it was a minute ago.

“That’s why I love that line in the movie when [a fan of Jay Kelly] said: “When I see you, I see my whole life”, the Wolves star added.

He continued, “I get it, man. I became friends with Gregory Peck and I felt that way.”

“I was sitting there with him, he was telling a story, and I was watching him thinking, ‘Dude, that guy is in To Kill A Mockingbird!’ You know where you were when you first saw The Omen. Roman holiday,” concluded George Clooney.
