A well-placed insider has revealed why Tom Cruise has yet to get married despite having a notable dating history.
The 63-year-old American actor and film producer is under close public scrutiny as he struggles to maintain lasting relationships, despite being a Hollywood heartthrob.
For those who don’t know, Cruise’s last relationship was with Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas, which lasted nine months and they broke up mainly due to his controlling nature, according to Radar online.
THE Mission Impossible The star and Armas started dating earlier this year after first meeting for their latest film project, Deeperbut Warner Bros. canceled production in August of this year.
Cruise and Armas “clicked right away, but when the movie fell apart, so did the relationship. It follows a familiar pattern with Tom — he goes all in, and soon everything starts to revolve around his work and his beliefs,” the insider told the outlet.
“At first it’s intoxicating, then it exhausts people. Ana admired him deeply, but she realized that she couldn’t live in this intensity forever.”
“Tom can be incredibly charismatic, but he’s also meticulous to the point of control. He treats his relationships like his job: structured, strategic and tightly managed. At first, this level of focus is intoxicating, but over time it starts to feel stifling,” another source said.
