This game wasn’t exactly “tricky”, but it seemed appropriate given that we’re in spooky season and today’s spangram was WIZARDRY.
In fact, this round was very light on tricks. Remember when we had rainbow-themed strand editing with each word highlighted in a different color? I was expecting something similar here, maybe the words WIZARDRY are disappearing before our eyes? Or at least a touch of purple and yellow.
That wasn’t my only disappointment. I’m sure I wasn’t the only person who spotted “Dracula” first, only to discover that not only was it not in the game, but it was also not considered an out-of-game word. Curse all you hearses.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Sunday October 26, Match #602)
- PUMPKINS
- BUT
- FOLIAGE
- SOCCER
- HARVEST
