Simu Liu spoke about his experience filming The Copenhagen test.
Talk to People Magazine, the actor recalled a painful injury on set.
Revealing that he performed many of his own stunts for the upcoming Peacock thriller, Liu said: “I got kicked in the face. Yeah. Many, many times.”
Although stunt coordinators James and Chris Mark provide security, Liu admitted that when you’re sprinting through hallways at full speed, things go wrong.
“When you’re doing fight scenes or you’re running full speed down a hallway and you have to run over three people or whatever, things are going to happen. Things are going to go wrong,” he explained.
Adding: “I remember getting… kicked in the face, thrown against things… and things like that.” [on the set]”.
Notably, Simu Liu also shares that when actors handle their own stunts, it gives the editor “infinite freedom in terms of where and when to cut.”
“Here’s the thing, probably to my detriment, I’m way too competitive a guy. And I think since I was 4 years old, if I see someone doing something and I think I could do it as well or better. I’m always like, ‘Great. Look, let me in. I want to be in it,'” the Barbie actor said.
It is relevant to mention that The Copenhagen test is scheduled to be released on December 27, 2025.
