Sydney Sweeney opened up about returning to Euphoria for season 3.
During his recent appearance at AFI Fest 2025 for the premiere of his new film Christiethe 28-year-old star shared that she will soon finish filming the HBO series.
“I’m wrapping ‘Euphoria’ in two days,” she said Variety Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
Thrilled to be back on set after three years, she said: “It’s basically the same team, so it feels like I’m coming home to my family.”
“I grew up with them. I was 20 when I did the pilot, so to be able to see a lot of the same people, it’s very comforting,” she added.
Additionally, during the night, Sweeney revealed to People that she is excited about her upcoming biopic project Scandalous!, which tells the true love story of Hollywood legend Kim Novak with the late musician Sammy Davis Jr.
“Once I finish Euphoria, I’m going to move on to Scandalous! and I’m going to turn my brain into Kim,” Sweeney told the publisher. “I’m so excited. I’m like, ‘Oh my God. I’m going to meet Kim Novak.'”
“I’m incredibly honored to bring Kim to life. I mean, she’s such an incredible actress,” she continued.
She further expressed delight in the biopic’s story, noting, “I think its story is still very relevant today in that it dealt with Hollywood and the scrutiny of one’s relationships and one’s own private life and the control of one’s image. And I think for me, I relate to it in different ways.”
