Deion Sanders laments lack of patience with recent college football layoffs

The sport’s sudden layoffs in college football caused Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders to lament the lack of patience in the world Tuesday while speaking to reporters.

LSU fired Brian Kelly on Sunday after a loss to Texas A&M. It was only the Tigers’ third loss of the year. Kelly’s firing follows those of Penn State’s James Franklin and Florida’s Billy Napier.

Sanders was asked about the lack of patience in college football, but he spoke to a broader point of view and made some wild comparisons.

“Well, there’s no more patience in this world. How can we have patience when we can call right now and get a pizza delivery right here? You can call and get a ride outside waiting for you. Everything is fast in this country,” he said. “Everyone wants a quick fix, quick things.

“You have mail-order brides too, don’t you? You can get married right away. You can get a BBL (Brazilian butt lift). You can come here as flat as I don’t know what and leave as thick as a Snicker. We live in another country, man. Nobody has patience anymore. I understand that. Me neither. I don’t have patience either. I want things done now because I’m used to getting up and doing this job and you want the result of the work you’ve done. It doesn’t often work out like that. That’s a great question.

There will be some exciting job postings around college football once the offseason officially begins.

Sanders is going through a tough time with Colorado — his first year as the school’s coach without his son Shedeur Sanders at quarterback. The Buffaloes are 3-5 this season after suffering a 53-7 loss to Utah last weekend.

Colorado will return home to face Arizona on Saturday.
