As Alicia Silverstone approaches 50, she has admitted she wants to embrace “old lady things.”
In an exclusive conversation with People, The 49-year-old actress admitted that she is “very domestic” and has loved doing housework since she was 20.
“I want to do more old lady things — read in my garden,” she told the outlet, noting, “I can’t say it’s ‘old lady.’ I’ve wanted to do this since I was 20…I’m very domestic, I guess.

“I burn the candle so brightly,” she remarked.
THE Bugonia The actress went on to say, “What I’m always trying to figure out is, ‘What do normal people do? How much rest do normal people get?’ And then I try to implement that into my life because I work so much, I’m so crazy, I’m always traveling. I am a machine.
As the actress finished filming the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed film and headed straight to the set of Irish Blood to audition actors as a producer, Silverstone admitted she found relaxation for a while.
“I was a little torn between everything, so I wasn’t as relaxed. I was more torn in a lot of directions,” she revealed.
“(I) really, really love the mornings when I wake up and take my son to school, make his breakfast and lunch. Then I go for a walk with my dog, and then I work all day. It’s always busy, but it’s not crazy.”
It is pertinent to mention that Silverstone is the mother of a son, Bear, whom she shares with ex-husband Christopher Jarecki.
