Justin Bieber butted heads with the doula while his wife Hailey Bieber gave birth to son Jack.
During a recent conversation during his Twitch stream on Monday, the baby The hitmaker reflected on the “emotional” moment of the birth of his son, who he welcomed in August 2024.
The 31-year-old singer told a close friend during his live stream: “I remember dealing with… there was tension with… because we had a doula and then we also had a nurse, and the nurse and the doula were really butting heads. Then I was butting heads with the doula.”
He went on to say, “And it was just like that…and I was very emotional because it’s like it’s one of the most important moments of your life.”
“And I remember thinking I was really strong with the doula,” Bieber recalled, sharing that Hailey was starting to “feel anxious” about the tense situation.
“So she said to me, ‘You need to apologize to the doula. Like, just make one…clear the air,” Bieber shared.
“I was like, ‘I’m sorry, I’m really sorry, my emotions are running high, I don’t want you to take away my moment as a father either, like I have that too.’
He added: “There are times when I need to comfort Hailey and I felt like she was pushing me aside.”
“It’s like instinctive to be a dad and like to be there and like…you’re supposed to be there to help facilitate,” he added.
