The COAS stressed that Pakistan seeks peace with all its neighbors, including Afghanistan, but will not allow cross-border terrorism to be carried out from Afghan soil.
He pointed out that despite continued cross-border terrorism from Afghanistan, Pakistan, over the past few years, has shown patience and extended multiple diplomatic and economic overtures to Afghanistan, aimed at improving Pak-Afghan bilateral relations.
However, instead of acting decisively against the Indian-sponsored terrorist proxies Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan, the Afghan Taliban regime provided all possible assistance to these groups. The COAS assured the tribal elders that Pakistan, particularly Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, would be rid of terrorists and their accomplices.
