ISLAMABAD:
Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee, met Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican during a global interfaith gathering, his media office said on Thursday.
The meeting, attended by religious scholars, clerics and leaders of various faiths, focused on promoting world peace and interfaith harmony.
on the occasion, Maulana Khabir Azad, who is also Khateeb of Badshahi Mosque, Lahore and peace ambassador, highlighted that interfaith harmony is an urgent need. “Through dialogue we can lead the world towards peace,” he said.
