Greg Gutfeld is apparently trying to take advantage of Jimmy Kimmel’s temporary suspension.
For those who don’t know, ABC, a broadcast network owned by The Walt Disney Company, banned Jimmy’s show. Jimmy Kimmel Live! for a week after making controversial remarks about the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk.
When the ban on the show was lifted, many ABC stations initially refused to air it, but later gave it the green light.
Greg, the Fox News host Gutfeldis watching the situation closely and plans to take advantage of the rapidly changing late-night show landscape.
The insider told the outlet, “Greg has benefited from the rightward shift in the country’s political trends. He also knows that traditional late-night shows are dying, with declining ratings for all of his competitors.”
“The way he sees it, his politics make him the flavor of the moment – and he intends to use that to line his pockets,” the source added.
During the entire situation, Greg supported ABC’s decision to suspend Jimmy, saying, “I hate to tell you, buddy, but the guy who shot and killed Charlie Kirk was more likely a fan of yours.”
Notably, the 61-year-old American TV host’s comment made the fight between the two even worse.
The source said, “Greg being Greg, he wants to use this situation to his advantage. He really thinks Kimmel’s downfall is a great opportunity for him!”
“He brags about how great he is compared to the other hosts. He really believes his own hype. He feels very smug and important and is looking to take advantage,” the source noted.
