Offset is being prosecuted for assault by a security guard.
According to documents obtained by TMZ Security guard Jim Sanchez filed a complaint of assault, battery and intentional infliction against Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus.
The incident occurred during the rapper’s visit to a MedMen cannabis dispensary near the Los Angeles airport in March.
Sanchez claimed that Offset “became hostile, verbally confrontational and physically attacked the plaintiff by punching him in the face” when asked to show identification.
He also accused several other people of joining him in “further assaults and beatings” during the altercation.
The security guard said he was eventually taken to a local hospital by paramedics due to severe head and neck pain.
Offset’s representative said TMZ that a dispensary guard rushed at him and spat in the hip-hop star’s face during the argument over showing his ID and denied that Offset had instigated the violence.
Cardi B’s ex-husband is also fighting a judgment against him for an alleged assault at a Florida strip club, after two men accused him of assaulting them there in 2021.
According to court documents obtained by We, The alleged victims officially filed to begin the recovery process against Offset earlier this year.
Offset has been hit with a new six-figure lawsuit from the US Treasury Department that brings his total unpaid tax bill to more than $2.3 million.
