NYT Strands today (game #610) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #610, are…
- WENT
- WALK
- STAY
- HOME
- ROAST
- BEEF
- NONE
- SPANGRAM: THIS LITTLE PIG
- My rating: Easy
- My rating: Perfect
The longest spangram in a long time took up a good portion of the board and snaked from the center down to the right side.
The theme was evident from the start though, with WENT, MARKET, STAYED and HOME all stuck together like a baby’s toes.
The phrase “this little pig had roast beef” has always intrigued me. Would a pig ever eat roast beef, even if it wore a shirt and tie and went to the market?
The truth, of course, is like many nursery rhymes rooted in the macabre and the little pig going to the market went to the slaughterhouse and the pig eating roast beef was force-fed. No wonder they came all the way to the house.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Sunday, November 2, Game #609)
