Embark Studios offers Arc Raiders Players are receiving free in-game currency after the game encountered server issues upon launch.
The multiplayer extraction shooter released on October 30 and was a runaway success, breaking 130,000 concurrent players on Steam on launch day and reaching an all-time high of 354,836 players on the platform over the weekend (via SteamDB).
Unfortunately, due to the large number of players trying to participate in the latest multiplayer entertainment, the servers have been experiencing issues. However, Embark Studios makes up for the trouble by rewarding players with 500 Raider Tokens, for free, which can be used in the in-game store.
In an article on the Arc Raiders Discord (via Eurogamer), the studio said: “Our team is working diligently to get you on these shuttles as quickly as possible and we thank you for your patience while we refine the system. To show our appreciation, we are sending you 500 Raider Tokens to use as you see fit.”
500 Raiders Tokens typically cost £3.89/$4.99 and are the cheapest currency pack you can buy. There are also packs for 1,150, 2,400, 6,250 and 13,000 Raider tokens – the most expensive of the bunch costs £77.49/$99.99.
