Cambridge has announced the winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards: 83 Pakistani students have won the “Top in the World” award – including 26 from Sindh and Balochistan – in recognition of their outstanding academic performance in the June 2025 exam series.
At a ceremony held in Karachi on Wednesday, The Cambridge Examination Board has released details of students who have shown exceptional performance in the Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level examinations.
Nationally, 317 Pakistani students won 355 awards, including 83 world-best, 63 national-best and 11 excellence awards, recognizing excellence in a wide range of subjects.
Over 106 learners from Sindh and Balochistan will receive 120 prizes for their outstanding results in Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level exams. Among them, 26 students achieved the highest marks in the world, while 53 obtained the highest marks in Sindh and Balochistan in individual subjects.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are part of a global program celebrating learners from over 40 countries. Cambridge said its qualifications are designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel at university and beyond, and are recognized by leading universities around the world.
National Director for International Education at Cambridge Pakistan, Uzma Yousuf, said: “Every year, we are inspired by the dedication, resilience and talent of our learners across Pakistan. These exceptional results reflect not only their hard work, but also the unwavering support of their teachers, schools and families.
She added that as the world continues to evolve – driven by innovation, technology and new ways of learning – these learners are proof that strong educational foundations build the confidence and adaptability needed for the future. “We are extremely proud of their achievements and the role our schools play in developing globally-minded, future-ready learners,” she added.
The awards also honored students who won excellence awards in less common subjects and those who achieved the highest cumulative grades in multiple subjects. Cambridge noted that these students outperformed thousands of candidates around the world who sat for the same exams.
