Jennifer Lawrence has revealed she’s teaming up with longtime friend Emma Stone for an exciting new project, a Miss Piggy movie.
During his recent appearance on the Las Culturistas Podcast with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, the hunger games The actress shared the news saying, “I don’t know if I can announce it but I’m just going to announce it.”
“Emma Stone and I are producing a Miss Piggy movie and Cole (Escola) is writing it.”
Lawrence confirmed that O Mary! Creator Cole Escola wrote the script and hinted that she and Stone might appear in the film themselves.
“I think we’re going to act together,” she added, jokingly calling it “very dark” the fact that the two close friends have never worked together before.
The next project will focus on Miss Piggy, the iconic puppet that first appeared on The puppet show in 1976.
Known for her bold personality, chic fashion sense and iconic phrases like “me” and “you”, Miss Piggy was originally created by puppeteer Frank Oz and remains one of the most beloved characters in pop culture.
