NYT Strands today (game #615) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #615, are…
- PORTAL
- ENTRANCE
- GRID
- DOOR
- ENTRANCE
- THRESHOLD
- SPANGRAM: LETMEIN
- My rating: Hard
- My rating: Perfect
I’m glad I didn’t use any clues today, as it was a far from simple search, with several difficult words to find (I typed in “door” and “doors” before finally getting DOORWAY).
The phrase “knock, knock” is usually answered “who’s where?” “, but after placing PORTAL, ENTRANCE and GATE successively at the top of the board, I knew we weren’t looking for anything to do with jokes.
Although I got the spangram pretty quickly after my initial burst, I struggled with the bottom half of the board and it took me a while to realize that we were looking for INGRESS and THRESHOLD on our path to glory.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Friday, November 7, Game #614)

- TANGO
- SALSA
- TÉJANO
- MARIACHI
- REGGAETON
- SPANGRAM: LATIN MUSIC
