Sydney Sweeney remains connected to her family roots despite her breakout success in Hollywood.
She gives an example of this during her appearance on Stephen Colbert’s late night show. “My family has lived on this lake for five generations. My grandmother was born and raised in this house,” shares the star.
“And then she had my mother at home and I grew up in the house,” the Madame Web star continues, adding: “The properties were all next to each other, with all the brothers and sisters. Her parents (my great-grandparents) were her neighbors.”
However, the Anyone but you The star reveals that after her great-grandparents died, they sold the property. “And when I was born, they passed away and sold the property to another couple.”
However, Sydney, true to her roots, returned to purchase it a few years ago. “Growing up, we would walk across the yard to my other cousins, and three years ago I came, knocked on the door and said, ‘I want to buy my great-grandmother’s house.’”
