Prince William and Kate Middleton have just touched the hearts of their British fans via a poem titled Letters From a Battlefield on their Instagram page.
The poem was released on Remembrance Day 2025 and aims to pay tribute to the “Remembrance of VE Day – 80 years later”, which is a service of remembrance at the National Memorial Arboretum.
For those unfamiliar with it, this poem “celebrates those moments of human connection that get us through the hardest of times,” according to the Wales legend.
It is also written and performed by the Arboretum’s poet-in-residence, Arji Manuelpillai.

The King and Queen of England also posted a similar tribute, but theirs was shorter and featured an image of a soldier doing an ordeal, with text displayed on the screen that read: “They shall not grow old, as we who remain grow old: age shall not wear them out, nor years condemn them. At sunset and in the morning we will remember them.”
